CENTRALISED EMPLOYMENT NOTICE (CEN) No.03/2018

Recruitment of Junior Engineer(JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA)

Railway Recruitment Boards(RRBs) invite ONLINE applications from eligible candidates for the posts of JE, JE (Information Technology), DMS and CMA in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways. The closing date and time of registration of applications online is 31.01.2019 at 23:59

Age Limit : as on 01.01.2019: 18 to 33 years

Relaxations in Upper Age limit shall be permitted to all eligible candidates as indicated in the detailed CEN published on the websites of RRBs.

RRB JE Educational Qualification:

(a) Junior Engineer: Diploma/Degree in Engineering in relevant disciplines prescribed against various posts in Annexure-A of the detailed CEN to be published on the websites of RRBs.

(b) Depot Material Superintendent: Diploma/Degree in Engineering from any discipline.

(c) Junior Engineer (Information Technology): PGDCA/B.Sc., (Computer Science)/BCA/ B.Tech. (Information Technology)/B.Tech. (Computer Science)/DOEACC ‘B’ Level Course of 3 years duration or equivalent from recognised university/institute.

(d) Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant: Bachelors Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with minimum of 45% marks.

Stage of Examination:

There shall be two stage computer based test (CBT) followed by document verification and medical examination.

Medical Standards: Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the prescribed medical standards for the post(s) they are opting for. Refer to the medical standards for each post as available in the detailed CEN published in the websites of RRBs. Candidates found medically unsuitable for the opted post(s) shall not be given any alternative appointment.

Reservation and suitability for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): For details refer the detailed CEN published on the websites of RRBs.

Reservation for Ex Servicemen (ExSM): For details refer the detailed CEN published on the websites of RRBs.

RRB JE Exam Exam Pattern

Languages – The exam is expected to be held in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Konkani, Odiya, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, and Malayalam.

Questions – All the questions in the exam will be of multiple choice type. Question will be asked from:

General Awareness
Arithmetic
General Intelligence and Reasoning
General Science and Technical Ability

1. Computer Based Test Stage I
